Walks along the beach

Because Howard so often has evening meetings I try and get him out of the office reasonably early - before it gets dark - and we take a walk from the house along the beach to the Boat Club. Have a drink to cool down and then walk home again through the Camp. We have been busy unpacking the house and haven't walked for a couple of weeks but I have managed to find and unpack the cable that allows me to download photos from my phone to the computer...and this is the result:

And this was quite a special find - a horseshoe crab, about 20 inches or so long. It was washed up at our feet with a wave, and I managed to get this photo. Before I could get another one with Howard in the frame to give an idea of scale, the next wave came up and it was gone. If I didn't have the photo I almost wouldn't believe that we saw it.

Moving Photos at last!

It's Tuesday 11th March and it has taken us this long to get our head above water. But here are the photos. They start on January 9th in Voorschoten as the packers load the container:

And it finally arrives here on Friday 29th February....

...having travelled all the way on this ship.....

Here's the crew that unloaded us..

And here is the result of all that unloading....
Stayed tuned to see what the house looks like now!

Sea Freight has arrived!

At last our sea freight has arrived. We have been busy unpacking and sorting through the 350 boxes and other sundries items we have - we might have managed half in the last 2 days. We are a long way from being finished but it is nice to see our house sort of emerging from the chaos! Photos will come later once we are sorted.
