Claire was here from end July to mid September which was tremendous. Barbara Shaw dropped in for a few days, Susannah Newman came for a week, and then Jake came for a week to keep her company while Howard and I were away in France. We got back to Dubai just in time for Katy to arrive and then we had a lovely month, just the 4 of us. Plenty of sightseeing, lunches and dinners out, exploring Musandam (see later post) and just generally having a great time.

With Barbara we explored the Monorail out over the Palm, Ibn Battutu Mall with its giant Junk in the Foyer, and sunset from Neos 63 floors up, with the fountains at the foot of the Burj Khalifa
We also managed to fit in Afternoon Tea at the One and Only Royal Mirage (yes, that is the hotel’s full name!). By the way Claire, where is that skirt of mine?!!
Claire did a lot of floating in the Pool in the summer
When Jake came to stay they had a desert safari, amongst other things
And when it was just the 4 of us we had a relaxing Eid at the Le Meridien Al Aqua at Dibbah
And last but not least we celebrated Claire’s birthday and the girls last full day at the Hilton for Brunch in September
