Saw heaps with Joy giving us an enormous amount of information. Both she and Lyam are top notch in their knowledge.

Warthog, Ground Hornbill, Maribu Stork, Hooded Vulture (in the trees above a 2 day old lion kill of a Cape Buffalo), crocodile, Jacobus Cuckoo (black and white with crest), giraffe, Immature fish eagle,Community web building spider, lions under tree, probably after recent kill, Steenbuck,  male Coqui Francolin, Southern Yellow Billed Hornbill, Elephant group, Striped skink (lizard), water monitor lizard, waterbuck, sable ( rare Antelope ) with warthog and zebra yellow kite,Colonial weaver bird, Territorial male White Rhino, Leopard tortoise, Distant herd of Cape Buffalo, Troop of baboons, Lilac breasted roller ( national bird of Botswana ) White backed vultures And then more elephants, really big herd, 4 Ground hornbills 2 young ones, Hippo in pool, saddle billed storks, Step buzzard K camera, Goliath Heron, Vervet monkeys, including suckling mum, Bushbuck, Blue headed tree agama. The biggest miss was a male lion with black tipped mane walked across road about 300 meters in front of us. Only managed to get a poor shot of its rump in the bush by the time that we got there.

We got home about 6.30 after a fantastic day out. Unbelievable actually. Drinks round the Boma (bonfire) and then dinner when Lyam got back with the new guests, two young Austrian women, Christina and Birgitte. Gavin had cooked dinner, a one pot meal in a Poyke Pot on the fire, basically a stew with potatoes and vegetables. Followed by Amarula ice cream. Absolutely tremendous fun sitting around the fire eating and chatting.
