With what we had heard were 2 tremendous Canyon that were National Parks we decided to try and do them both in one trip, with a stop over to maximise our time and reduce the driving. Thus we set off on around 8.45 for the 3 hour drive to Zion. The park was already busy and there was no parking available so we parked in Springdale village and walked in. Even the view from where we parked was good...
There are no cars allowed in the Canyon anyway as it us very narrow, so they cleverly run hop on, hop off shuttle buses up and down the canyon. We went straight to the farthest point to start off with - Riverside Walk - right at the head of the Canyon. We noticed several people with waterproof foot gear on and we soon realised that The Narrows, the upmost part of thus section, crossed water. We decided not to go, but we enjoyed the scenery nevertheless. It was busy though
This was our lunch spot......
..and this was the beginning of the Narrows Walk.
After that we caught the bus back to a place where we could walk up to some pools - called The Emerald Pools
And finally on the bus on the way out when we had had our fill of mountains they mentioned these 3 peaks - Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, taken from the bus.
With almost too much to see and take in we felt we had seen and done enough so headed back to the car, and started our 2 hour drive to Bryce around 4.30.
HOWEVER, as we left Zion we saw even more spectacular scenery - sensory overload!
